Aurora R16 AWCC 6.7.37 stopped working with Windows 24H2 update
My R16 with 19-14900KF and 32GB memory experienced a problem in AWCC after windows updated my 24H2 version. The CPU overview no longer shows anything on the visual graph nor on the table below under the CPU utilization on the performance page. The CPU stat table displays text saying somethind went wrong. When i press refresh, it indicates that there may be an incompatibility with a driver. I tried to unistall the Winows update, didn't work. I unistalled and reinstalled AWCC 6.7.37, did not help. I tried disabling memoriy integrity and virtual machine platform, did not help. While the leds and fans still operate normally, the CPU is not shown and overclocking is locked. I know i can use the Bios to overclock. The point of the thread is what happend in the Windows update and why is AWCC no longer compatible. Are there any known fixes? Anyone else see the same things? This is similar to problems with earlier Aurora systems in the past.

So, the problem is now fixed! It seems that there are two services required for the Intel XTU. 1) Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and 2) XTUOCdriverservice. The second service (XTUOCdriverservice) had become disabled and a clean reinstallition of AWCC and Intel XTU did not enable it. This prevented both AWCC and Intel XTU from opening. Not sure why the service became disabled when a Windows 24H2 update occured. Anyway, just open a command window (run) and type services.msc. Find the XTUOCdriverservice at the bottom of the page and ensure it is not disabled. Setting to manual start is fine.

I have determined that the problem is that the Intel XTU is incompatible with the 24H2 update. If i do a clean install the XTU runs one time and AWCC works until i reboot. So, it looks like until they resolve the compatibilty problem this will contine to be a problem for AWCC and overclocking. Disabling Virtual machine, Hyper V, and memory integrity does not solve the problem. Intel says this is a known problem with 24H2.
