Aurora R16, air cooled, top chassis fans

Alienware Aurora R16

Alienware Aurora R16

I have an air cooled R16 that is comes with a cpu fan, front chassis fan and a rear chassis fan. I bought a top chassis fan assembly D08ND X176F 42940 from ebay installed it and was surprised to see that the fans run at a fixed RPM and that the AWCC doesn't "see" that they're installed (not shown in the AWCC). They aren't shown in the BIOS either.

Is there a way to "enable" the top chassis fans for control in the AWCC? Are they locked behind the prebuilt configuration wall because this is an air cooled system that doesn't come with top chassis fans?

Try clearing CMOS by holding in the power button for 30 seconds.

Thanks for the suggestion ProfessorW00d but clearing the CMOS didn't work. Running diagnostics as a result of the RTC error after the reset showed only the CPU, rear and front fans. Additionally, the AWCC continues to show only the CPU, MID and SIDE zones.

I wasn't able to find any entries for fan controls in the BIOS either.

I believe you have to have an actual liquid cooler installed to have BIOS turn on top "radiator" fan profile.  Since the PC knows you have no AIO installed, it ignores the top fan even though they are Dell oem.
