Aurora R16, air cooled CPU cooler upgrade
I was not paying attention and when ordering the Aurora R16 I ordered the air cooled version and the metal side panel. I have not even considered transparent side panel or water cooling is an option. Anyway, the question is, can I fit a Noctua NH-U12A inside the case instead of the stock CPU cooler? Is there enough space?

The Dell premium tower cooler for XPS 8960/8950 will fit R16 case and you can use that as reference of cooler height tolerance.
R16 metal case is actually the same as R15 or 8960. Dell merely repackaged the plastic shell of metal and added LED to make it Alienware instead of XPS.

Can't go wrong with Noctua really. I don't think I ever had a bad Noctua product, and I have a lot of their products.
You pay a bit extra, but it's well worth it and they have a super easy and solid bracket system to install their coolers.

@redxps630 Could I technically just put the premium tower cooler in my r16? the one I have has a 13900 and the bad low profile cooler so it throttles under any load.
