Aurora R15, AWCC won't start after update, "System Still Booting Up" loop

Hey everyone,

I’m having a super frustrating issue after the latest Alienware Command Center (ACC) update. The software refuses to start and just keeps giving me the message:
"System still booting up, not to worry! Wait a few minutes and try again."

I’ve already tried everything I can think of:

  • Waiting (obviously)
  • Repairing the installation
  • Completely uninstalling and reinstalling
  • Deleting leftover files and reinstalling clean
  • Updating drivers and BIOS
  • Running as admin
    Nothing works.

I really need ACC and I’m stuck without the controls.

Any tips or fixes would be massively appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

This seems to be a common issue after updates. You might try reinstalling Alienware Command Center, ensuring all drivers (especially AWCC and OC controls) are up to date, or performing a clean boot to rule out software conflicts. Have you checked the event logs for any error details?

I forgot to mention that I’m using an Alienware Aurora R15 running Windows 11 Home, along with the Alienware AW3821DW monitor and the AW720M mouse.

Note: This solution was originally shared for the Dell G15, but it may also help with similar issues on the Alienware R15. While it's not an official fix for the R15, you're welcome to give it a try and see if it works for you.

Alienware Command Center Version 6.6.14.0 Installation Issues on the Dell G15 5530 and G16 7630

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you're experiencing an issue when installing or launching Alienware Command Center and see the following error message: "Something went wrong. System still booting up. Not to worry! Wait a few minutes and try again."

This issue can be resolved by updating SupportAssist on your system to version 4.8.2 or later.

How to Update SupportAssist:

Option 1: Automatic Update

  • Ensure your computer is connected to the internet.
  • SupportAssist should automatically update to version 4.8.2 within a few minutes.

Option 2: Manual Download

  • If the automatic update does not occur, you can manually download the latest version from Dell’s official site:
    SupportAssist for Home PCs

After updating, try launching Alienware Command Center again. The issue should be resolved.
