Hi

You are not alone.

Please can you confirm the Make Model and OS, along with any configuration details like touch screen, backlit keyboard, SFF or tower etc etc.

      • Ensure “AMD CPU fTPM” is enabled in the BIOS Security or Advanced tab as this enables TPM 2.0 functionality on Ryzen systems—usually under Advanced → AMD fTPM Configuration.

      • Save, reboot, and re-check the TPM Management status.

    • Dell does not always release all BIOS/fTPM fixes via their public download portal; if you require a TPM firmware update for 3.94.2.5 and none is listed, contacting Dell Support is essential.

I have an aurora R10 ryzen edition out of warranty with the same problem. This is so frustrating. I contacted Dell and they said I have the latest BIOS firmware and nothing can be done at this time. Any help?

Hopefully other people complain and that forces Alienware to wake up and do something. However I believe Activision is also at fault for putting these restrictions on and not sending out a memo to the major PC gaming companies.

Your system needs a BIOS update with TPM 2.0 version 3.94.2.5 but if it’s not available yet for the R14 Ryzen edition, you’ll need to wait until the manufacturer releases it or contact their support for details.

Yes I realize that, that’s why I contacted Dell tech support, they said I have the latest BIOS update. I also sent them an email with the Activision website link explaining the problem. I told them to forward this information to the correct software people. Will this mean anything to them I honestly don’t know.

I highly doubt you will see an update for the TPM module. On Ryzen, that would be part of the AGESA AMD firmware, and I highly doubt they will update the firmware to the latest AGESA version.

You can check your TPM version: Check TPM version

Just in case that is not the issue.

It also does not require TPM Version 3.94.2.5. It requires TPM version 2.0 or higher.

TPM requirements

So if you have TPM 2.0 (or higher) there will be no issue related to the TPM version.

@Vanadiel I have TPM version 3.92.0.5. Which is a problem as per Activision. If you click on your TPM requirement link and go to the section :  BIOS Firmware Update Guidance and open up the section that states "figure 9" you will see that my version and others will not work as per Activision.

@Nebula001 ok, well, that is not exactly the most clearly written information on their end.

So they don't really need TPM 2.0, but a specific Manufacturer version. In case of AMD that would be AMD 3.92.5.5.

I don't see this happening for these older machines to be honest.

I just updated to the latest available for my motherboard, which is an Asus ROG STRIXX board, and I went from manufacturer version 3.92.2.5 to 3.94.2.5.

That BIOS is labeled as BETA.

I highly doubt any Ryzen Alienware machines will get this upgrade, as it does come as part of the latest available AGESA version ComboV2 PI 1.2.0.F and I can foresee that as a problem.

Are there any moderators monitoring these forums that can see the posts and possibly contact Dell to let them what is happening?
