Aurora R13, upgrade fans with either liquid cooling or better fans with RGB
Hi everyone, 2 years ago i purchased R13 for my son. It is a non clear panel unit with cooling fans. My son has mentioned it has been over heating. I recently purchased a clear side panel and wanted to upgrade his fans with either liquid cooling or better fans with rgb. Anything to keep this unit cooler during long hours. The unit has 2 front fans, 1 back fan, cpu fan, and no upper fan. I have seen so many different builds on here but i am just looking for a basic build. I have also seen ppl run into errors during their build. I am not 100% sure if i could switch to liquid cooling. All the research i have done so far shows it should work. I noticed it has all the connections for dells cryo-tech liquid cooling. I also seen someone add the corsair liquid cooling. However when i reached out to corsairnto make sure it would work before purchase, they said they do not have anything that would 100% work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not looking to an insane upgrade. Simple but efficent. Thank you

You can try 120 mm AIO liquid cooling. It still cannot sufficiently cool a -k cpu because it is only 120mm radiator but will be much better than air cooler that you have now. That is easiest upgrade for you. Cryo tech vs non Cryo Dell AIO are both okay but your son may prefer the cosmetic LED bling of Cryo. Practically there is little difference in cooling efficiency between the two kinds of Dell AIO despite Dell hypes. Corsair is also 120 mm not better than Dell which is Asetek oem 120 AIO

If possible leave the side cover completely off. It will help with cooling.
Liquid cooling will help also, as the air cooler is limited due to design decisions that were made.
But you need to make sure the VRM's have heat sinks. If not, the system will throw an error as it is looking for those heatsinks when you use liquid cooling.

@redxps630 Thank you for your feedback, would you happen to have links to purchase the coolers?

@ProfessorW00d That is a cool setup. Was it plug and play or did it require alot of mods to get all of that to work. Which company is that?

@Dan820 that is not my rig . . . more info here LINK Aurora R13 RTX 4090 FE
However, I believe the 240mm AIO front install would be quite simple.

update, i received and installed the alienware liquid cooling and also found the light bar. neither of them actually light up. The alienware liquid cooler light turns on when we first turn on the pc but then it turns off. We are also getting an rear fan error message that comes on at first start up. Our cpu temps are in the 90s so it seems to be cooling but no rgb.

@Dan820 CPU temps in the 90s does not sound great to me for a liquid cooled processor in the R13. Drop some good photos of the inside of your R13 so we can see what you have going on.
