Aurora R12, PCIe multiple MME SSD, 64GB Kingston Fury Beast ram

Bonjour Community,

I have 2 questions.

1) I installed a PCIe x16 card with 4 slots to be enable to have 4 MME SSD card storage. But only one card will show up in my computer and doesn't appear either in disk management. 2 does not work either. Works fine with only one MME card. I was wandering if it has a relation to the bifurcation problem or non existent on this MOBO?

2) Also tried to have install 4 Kingston 4 X 16GB (64GB total) Fury Beast does not work. PC doesn't even boot, flashing orange error light , but works with 2 Ram 32GB total  of the same brand Fury Beast. All for ram stick are the same. Any idea?

Thanks

Sylvain

You will need a controller that has a switch integrated, so you will not need bifurcation as the R12 does not support bifurcation. Take a look here at some example cards, and there are others. PLX Controller

Also be aware there are some users who experience intermittent issues with these type of cards, like randomly not booting, or not showing up.

As for memory, only the OEM memory is guaranteed to work. Anything else might, or might not work. You can try removing and reinstalling the coin cell battery as that sometimes helps. Again, the same foot note applies: it might, or might not work. R12 coin cell battery

1.  Correct, the R12 motherboard does not support bifurcation natively.

2.  No specific RAM specs mentioned.  Here is a compatible kit of Kingston Fury Beast for the R12.
