Aurora R11, confused between m.2 screw and standoff
Hello,
Im going to install m.2 ssd, when I look at the service manual and my pc specifications from dell, its listed has m2x2.5 screw, I though it was screwed in on the motherboard, then I looked at the motherboard it was indeed the same look as phillips head but when I tried to unscrew it, it was so hard like it was stuck then I just realized it was a standoff and not supposed to be unscrew, Im just scared that I might destroy the standoff because when I tried to unscrew it, some of the standoff fell off like a glitter, the questions is:
1. Did I really destroy the standoff?
2. Is there any part number for this standoff so l can buy the replacement?
3. Does this means I just need the m2x2.5 to install ssd?
Thank you

R11 mobo https://www.ebay.com/itm/335694043077?
M.2 standoff looks similar or identical to XPS 8940 M.2 standoff (8940 has Intel 10/11th gen cpu same as R11/12).

It is Dell motherboard standoff DP/N 715KN. this video demonstrates how to install it on mobo. the ssd is then installed on top of the philips head standoff using M2 x 2.5mm screw.
The standoff is available for order from Dell. try chat w Dell live agent online to place order.

@redxps630 Hi, sorry for the late reply, I think mine was shorter than the one you post, couldn't find any info for it online, do you have any other spacer in mind? thanks btw!
