Aurora R11, 30 series or 40 series Nvidia GPU
Hi, I’m planning to upgrade my 2070 GPU to 30 series or 40 series Nvidia GPU, is it possible? What should I take note of before purchase? (Eg. Size, power and etc) Thank you!

I would consider R11 case having limited air flow therefore not suitable for much higher power gpu. RTX 2070 TDP = 215w.
RTX 4070 Ti Super TDP = 285w.

I put in a MSI Ventus RTX 4070 Super in my Alienware R10 and works great!

curious what gpu and cpu temp during gaming comparing old 2080 Ti to 4070 Ti super?

@redxps630 It seems that the MSI RTX 4070 TI Super runs cooler than the old RTX 2080 TI... The old 2080 TI would run in the 70's and top out in the low 80s... But the 4070 TI Super usually runs in the low to mid 60's and tops out in the low to mid 70's... So seems to be running 10C cooler.

good to know. The older 2080 ti despite lower TDP on spec may have a degenerating cooler. New 4070 Ti Super is all new.

Maximum graphics card length for the R11 is 270mm . . . so you are looking for a 2 fan unit. If you can find a blower style graphics card, that would be optimum. What is your PSU wattage?
