Aurora R10 Ryzen, front fan error 2000-0511

Hi folks, my Aurora R10 Ryzen is throwing a FRONT FAN error on booting. This happened immediately after running a game, when the whole PC went down and powered off during play.

So far I have :

1. Updated the BIOS to latest

2. Ran all windows updates / Nvidia updates

3. Replaced front fan with Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM

4. same error after replacing fan

5. Plugged the original AVC fan into spare “CPU Fan” connector on motherboard and it runs fine. This seems to validate my AVC fan is functioning.

6. removed Noctura fan, and put back the AVC fan, still same error

Temporarily, I again reinstalled the Noctura fan into the front and connected it to the CPU FAN connector , at least I have cooling in front for now, having to bypass the boot error each time I start my PC

Q:  Could anyone provide some insight how to troubleshoot this further , is it possible my motherboard has a failure related to the front fan controller.

thanks

Aftermarket fans will throw the error due to their RPM range not being the same as the OEM fan.

I would suggest replacing the fan with a new OEM fan.

Thanks , I have ordered an AVC fan model Data1225B2G and when it arrives will report back. I had assumed because the old fan spun up (at high speed) when connected to the CPU fan connector, that the old one is good.   Perhaps the old fan’s variable RPM isnt working and is being sensed by the Dell pre Boot.
