Aurora R10, OC reading speed, AWCC Fusion CPU Speed vs Task Manager vs AMD Ryzen Master

Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10

Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10

Hello All,

It has been a while since my last post. Aurora R10 Ryzen has worked really well for me.  However, I discovered a strange behavior which I do not know if this was there before or when it started. All BIOS, updates, W11, everything, everything up-to-date, double / tripled checked now.

Last time I used Alienware Command Center Fusion to overclok I was able to since how the frequence/speed of the CPU varying from low of  0.3 Ghz to 4.5 Ghz depending on the load of the cpu, stress test, applications running, etc. Also, I think I remember the task manager used to show the same variation meaning the CPU speed was adapting depending on the load.

This is not happening anymore.  In Alienware Command Center Fusion the CPU speed is always above 4 Ghz, even when I do not have any running app/program. However the CPU temp remains stable at 45C. in the past the speed used to vary and never going about 4Ghz when not running any app/program and temp stable around 37C.

He comes the strange part. CPU-Z, HWInfo and taskmanager all report CPU speed always above 4Ghz BUT AMD Ryzen Master utility shows the variation in speed as well as what core is active, how many cores are increasing in frequency and never reaches 4 ghz when I am not running any app/program.

Did something change in W11? Is the CPU speed displayed by taskmanager, CPU-Z and HWInfo reading the incorrect data? or Is it AMD Ryzen Master?

Any help or confirmation from any Aurora R10 Ryzen Edition or Alienware CC - Fusion view appreciated.

Can't remember if the BIOS had a PBO option or not. Try looking there, PBO should adjust frequency based on load and thermals.

Also check your Windows power plans, and they can also affect CPU frequency behavior.

I have tried already with no luck, same on the power plans :-(.
