Aurora 16 PSU 4 pin cable length issue. Please help!
So I have the Aurora 16 and it came with the 500w PSU. Now this PSU's cable goes under the MB and across to the double 4 pin connectors BACK INTO the case, which is weird but okay. So I upgraded to the 1000w PSU and the cable length is WAY TOO SHORT to even reach across to the 4pinx2 connectors! Now, why didn't Dell make the cable longer? Or it should provide at no cost to me an extension cable since they designed the 4pinx2 connection so far away!
Is an extension cable really a good idea? Does it affect performance? Ideally I know you should avoid breaking connections with extension cables. And I can't find any cable longer than a foot; I don't think it will reach... the r16 is fricken huge. It's longer than 12 inches diagonally.
Either someone from Dell can give me an extension cable or anyone can help me solve this issue. Amazon is littered with unbranded cheap cables... I want something that is quality.

Is this a modular PSU?

the extension cable is designed so that you do not need to unplug from motherboard when swapping psu. it is deliberate and not idiosyncratic.
Dell new proprietary 10/12 pin high power psu for Aurora R13-16 are non-modular.

according to this R13 video which has same metal chassis design as R16, user does not need long psu cable from psu.

the two cpu cables from psu just go thru a bottom opening slot of chassis to reach right side to connect to extension cables. playtime 3:16-

@redxps630 I think he means that the two 4-pin cables on the 500w PSU route through a gap at the bottom of the MB and follow up along the back and to the corner, where they come standard connected to two extenders plugged into the MB. However even with the OEM extenders the two 4-pin cables on the 1000w PSU aren't long enough even clear the gap in the MB properly. As of now I can't find an OEM extender on the dell store or one on amazon that seems reliable and fits dells standards. This is specifically the R16 motherboard and PSU wiring config.
