Area-51 R5, lights stopped working, #3
<You replied to a 3 year old thread. Started your own thread. DELL-Admin>
It seems like Dell deleted the software to operate those lights. I am so annoyed at this and also the connections on the panel doors are so delicate. Where can I buy new ones? Dell please check and update software so I can choose the light colors on the front and sides on my Alienware Area-51 R5. Clearly Dell left this feature out on the previous updates.

I am running BIOS Version 2.0.7
and using Alienware-Command-Center-Application-Full-Installer_2TYW1_WIN_5.5.52.0_A00
and my Area-51 R5 lighting is working perfectly.

The side panel LED connections are flat. It is the spring loaded connection of the case interface with side panel that is somewhat delicate can be banged and damaged. fortunately the latter can be replaced. the side panel itself is not easy to find replacement. Occasionally it is on sale on eBay. If you only want to replace the door LED kit, not easy to find either, plus it is an involved project to open up side panel by unscrewing multiple screws (which is Philips head screw that can be stripped and become unremovable).
