Area-51 R5, Crucial Ballistix memory install, blue screen
When I install Crucial Ballistix Memory 32GB (2x16GB) PC4-25600 (DDR4-3200) (BL2K16G32C16U4B) and have XMP enabled in bios, system boots but then blue screens. Any help would be appreciated!
I have an Area-51 R4 or R5 with and Intel i9-7980xe.

Re: have xmp enabled in bios,
try the memory without XMP
Re: Area 51 R4 or R5
if your PC has slot loading dvd, it is R4. if not, R5

@ProfessorW00d I fully understand but for some reason when I put it into xmp mode it blue screens. All the research I have done led me to believe that the memory I listed above is the dell approved memory!

Re: I dont have a place to load a disk on the front
you have R5
we believe prof without CPUZ proof. question is how does OP reproduce it. it seems each R5 bios is an individual animal. we need prof to upload the exact model number of Ballistix.

@SilkyNasty That is retail memory, not Dell OEM. Just looking at it, I would say the 1.35 Volts to run it at it's XMP profile might be a problem as your motherboard might not support 1.35 Volts for it's memory slots.
That would also explain why it BSOD's, as it's unstable at lower voltages.

@SilkyNasty
So, firstly ... I suggest you find out exactly which old Area51 you own (EXACTLY) as they are all a little different (and have different motherboards and ram).
Then, Turn-Off XMP (obviously) and run the memory at stock-speed for now ... see if that can be stable.
Finally (and this is what I do whenever I reconfigure ram in ANY computer) ...
Bootup with a Memtest86.com bootable flash-drive and let it run the test.
If it can pass at least 2 of the 4 consecutive thorough tests with ZERO-ERRORS ... there is a 99.99% chance that the new ram is properly-compatible with the system, and will now run in Windows without problems (related to ram or with you messing with the motherboard).
If you can get this far ... well IMHO, I would just leave it like that as the ram is already very-fast. Also, with only the two-exactly-matched DIMMs installed in that Memory-Bank ... it should be running in Dual-Channel mode (which is by-design, desired, preferred, etc.).
Good Luck.

@ProfessorW00d Can you please show me your configuration in bios, is it in xmp mode or did you just select 3200 from the drop down menu?

@ProfessorW00d Also is my memory the same as yours or do you have a different version of ballistix?

If the photo above posted you would see that in AWCC;

In BIOS, I select "XMP Profile 1" and the MHz automatically reflects 3200.
