Area-51 R2, won't recognize hard drives

I bought a alienware area 51 r2 on marketplace and when I got home realized the motherboard ram clips were broken. I bought a new r2 board and put it in.

I then got an ssd and started to boot from usb for new windows install. Windows setup can't see any drives at all besides the usb. Any ideas?

I forgot to mention. Another issue i can't get past is the fact that when you plug the machine in it turns on immediately. I have replaced all boards in the desktop, as well as the power button board. None of which solved my issue. It isn't a bios setting I checked that.

assume you got a sata 2.5 ssd, was the ssd new or used from fbmp?

use a verified working hdd to test Windows install.

original motherboard with broken ram clips are assumed to be still functional?

power on issue: replace cmos battery w a new one then clear cmos by mobo jumper

As was mentioned in the first post I replaced the  motherboard with the broken ram clips. New board, no more broken ram clips. Yes it was replaced with the r2 alienware motherboard. Brand new ssd 2.5. There is no windows installation to test as it is a new drive. I am not able to see the drive so there is no system on the drive to test. Should have mentioned this. I replaced the cos battery and cleared memory with jumper also

go inside bios do you see the new ssd there?

are you using custom mode to install on new drive which by default is not allocated.

I have checked in bios yes. The hard drive is not able to be seen. I use Rufus to burn my image and yes I am using a custom image. That would have nothing to do with the bios not seeing a drive though. It is not detected in bios, in disk part or on windows install of course since the others don't see it. I have the ePSA system for testing and I attached the picture of what it says the issue is. I have the manual from Dell for the alie ware but I don't see any wiring schematic. That may be what it is, I have put together many computers but this one was bought from a person who broke the panel getting it open so it may be that I followed where he had it all plugged in and I missed something or his wiri g is incomplete or wrong. Thank you for your help.

I would say faulty drive, no power to drive, bad data cable, or bad motherboard.

If you have another computer try the drive and data cable there, to rule out those 2.

I will replace the cords next i guess. I have tested with working hard drives and get the same result. Is there a wiring schematic anywhere for this that anyone knows of by chance? Thanks for your help guys

OK, I am now realizing I have no data connectors for sata, the only sata small connector I have that fits next to the power connector on the drive comes from the optical drive. So I'm guessing there is a data cable I need to order for the satas? That is the problem I'm sure

a 2.5” sata driver just like a 3.5” sata drive needs both power and data cable connected. missing either cable will by default make the drive not visible.

Thanks for everyone who posted. I figured it out. For some reason I actually believed somehow theire were no sata ports on the board. Sorry for wasting your guys time. I plugged new sata cables into board and voila, I now have a recognized SSD. Next I need to tackle my fans, I have the round alienware plus cooler and I'm getting errors saying isn't working although it clearly is blowing. So ther is that and the issue that the power just turns on when I plug it in. I have cleared cos and I have changed the logo board, neither made a difference. Once again. If anyone has a schematic it would be greatly appreciated. I feel like there are more cords missing. Thank you for your help!
