Area-51 R2 mods 2025
Here are the latest pics of my Alienware Area-51 R2 build.
Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i9 12900k
Mobo: MSI MPG Z690 Carbon Wifi
GPUAorus master 3080ti
64GB DDR5 RAM 5200 MT/s
PSU: Corsair RM1000X
Storage: Samsung m.2 990 Pro 2TB + Samsung SSD 870 4TB
CPU cooler: Corsair icue link titan 360 RX LCD
The 3 120mm fans blow air through the radiator outside the front of the case. I have 1 corsair RX fan mounted at the back as exhaust.
We all know this Area-51 R2 case is not good for airflow, but my idle CPU temp is around 30C and under gaming (Cyberpunk) gets around 70C. GPU idle 30C and under full load around 75C.
I cut the side panel to fit a plexi window. I cut the front of the case to be able to fit the 360mm AIO.

Nice. Good components you used there. Do you have a pic?
I still have my Aurora-R1 (circa 2010). It's in my Home-Theater for Windows-gaming, Plex, and Kodi on our projector.
Still not sure if I want to try what you did, or just pull the Nvidia GTX-1070 and drop it into a newer case/motherboard. We will see.

Sorry I don't hava an imgur account and I'm not going to create one because an IT company can not properly setup a forum to allow pictures...

you can try use paint in Windows to open your jpg pic and save it as a new .jpg file. then try upload the new .jpg in forum.
