Area-51 AAT2250, no video issues
Alienware Area-51 AAT2250
Bought this super expensive Alieanware Area 51 AAT2250 recently for my son. He continuously seeing no video issues for the past few weeks. But today May 4th it got worse. Been trying for hours still no video. Can't boot up. It power off it self after a while no video. Tried clearing the flea power a dozen times still didn't work. Change and swapped cables no go. Only thing to do now is call tech support Malaysia on Monday May 5th. Last time he checked all drivers firmware updated to the latest one. I hope Dell provide the latest update on this expensive machine.

Hi
Potentially a Lo-Cost/No-Cost diagnostic.
If it was me I would consider eliminating the MS OS from the equation and make a LIVE USB of Linux Mint.
If that boots and has video it is a software issue (MS OS or a Dell driver/firmware update), if not I suggest it is a hardware issue.
If in doubt please ask.

Thanks for your reply. My son found out another update from Nvidia on 4/30. Just update after the system managed to boot up after he re-seat the GPU. Let's see what happens. Nvidia driver buggy these days.

What specific video card is in the Area-51 AAT2250? Are you testing video driver version 572.70 or later from the NVIDIA website?
