Alienware Pro Headset, minimum volume too loud?

Got a pair of the alienware pro headset and even on the minimum volume settings (<15% on android or windows) the headset is already loud, can't really fine tune it much at lower volume levels. Gotta be very careful not to flick the volume wheel much or it gets way too loud way too fast. Happening on both bluetooth-Android and dongle-windows combinations. Anyone else having this problem and any solutions to this? Updated firmware on headset and it doesn't seem to change anything. TIA!
