Alienware Aurora R15 - Weird Noise probably from the PSU

Alienware Aurora R15

Alienware Aurora R15

Hi,

I bought an Alienware Aurora R15 from Amazon France (I live in Spain) around 9 months ago.

Recently I noticed that it does a strange fan noise, from either the GPU or the PSU. I am attaching videos of the issue but is difficult to record it as it doesn't happen often and is super temperamental.

At time happens every 30 seconds, for like 10 seconds, at time doesn't happens for days and so on.

It seems that the length of my gaming session has an impact to it (it start to make the noise often after hours of being turned on and under gaming) and it seems that having it passing between modes (Quiet to Performance and vice versa) impact further on this issue (it happens when it swap between the modes).
It is swapping automatically as on desktop I have set it to quiet and when I launch the games it goes to Performance.

I'm not sure if it is a coincidence but, to test it, few days ago I put the computer on the floor, and it seems it happens less. Normally I have the laptop on a mount, attached to my standing desk, so if I elevate the desk the computer and cables move along (though I never use this feature for now).

Despite the above, when standing on the desk mount it seems completely flat to me so I am not sure how this can have an impact (I thought that maybe is not completely flat and a fan tilt slightly a little at time and make that noise). To be said that also on the floor it does that noise, but not as often (I heard it twice across 2 days on the floor, while before I was hearing it at least 10 times a day, on a 3 to 4 hours session).

I won't have issue to keep investigating and wait longer, to see if it get worst, but I would like to figure this out before the warranty expires.

Any tips or should I contact the tech support...though not happening often, maybe if they want it sent for repair it won't happen when they have it there or...I do not know.

Any tips is welcome and apology for the long message but wanted to provide as much details as possible.
