aftermarket R10 motherboard replacement
R10 has B550a chipset which is actually 450 oem repackaged to sound "better" like 550 but not actual 550.
is there good mATX 450 to replace bad R10 oem board? never mind the LEDs.
Or is there a good mATX 550 out there?
I do not like the R10 Frankenstein oem design of AMD socket but Intel heatsink mounting hole spacing. Plus the R10 may lock AMD cpu that boots from it preventing it from used on another mobo.

Short answer, none -- if you want an aftermarket board, plan on replacing the case and power supply with the board, and transferring the CPU and memory to the new system.
Also note that the OEM copy of Windows will not work with an aftermarket board, so budget for a new copy of Windows 11 for the new build.

And also note that with the newer BIOS versions of the R10 they enabled by default PSB, without telling you that portion.
This means your CPU is now locked to that motherboard and cannot be used in any other motherboard, retail or OEM.
So if you are in that situation, you will need a new CPU.
So in my opinion, rather than upgrading it it's likely more economical to just purchase a new system. By the time you are done upgrading that is likely about the same price.
