Alpha R2, AGA, not detecting my GTX 1080 Ti?

AGA (Alienware Graphics Amplifier)  is not recognizing my Asus GTX 1080 Ti. I downloaded Alienware amplifier software and drivers but it wont turn on or recognize the GPU, when i connect it and turn on PC is says "external GPU graphics card not recognized. Only Nvidia and AMD. Can someone please help me?

Graphics card is BRAND NEW and working...

I have tried everything.

Downloaded new Bios

Downloaded Geforce new version for graphics card

Downloaded Driver for Asus Graphics card

the PC does not even detect the card at all and only states GTX 980 on driver list. I tried turning it on when everything is connected and the it asks me to press F1 as it doesn't recognize external GPU

I tried pluging it in when the PC is on and nothing happens, just a sound as if something was connected but no dialog showing me the amplifier is conntected

No lights on AGA.

I also tried pressing the power button on the AGA for 30 seconds and everything turns on and lights up but no connectivity on PC.

I have the alineware Alpha R2

Can someone please HELP!!!!! im losing my mind here for the last 3 days trying to fix this.

Hi @Osta,

So is the AGA (Alienware Graphics Amplifier)  not detecting the card or is the Alpha not detecting the AGA?

Also make sure the Video Card power cables are properly connected.

my Alpha is not detecting the Amp or the card

when pc turns on it lights up for 1 second (Amp) and turns off. I thehn need to press F1 on keybaord as it says "external GPU not recognised".

updated software, Bios, driver for graphics card but still no luck.

I hear it when it connects to PC (as if u connected something to PC) but nothing shows up even in the Deveice Manager area

Power cables all connected up properly. Are you UK based? worth a phone call?

We're USA/Canada based support.

This looks like a compatibility issue with the card, since it is not validated.

HIGHLY Likely reason is that the Power Supply in the amplifier is TOO SMALL.  One Six Pin and One 8 Pin connector is not available. Standard PSU is 525W which is well below the Minimum required.

1080TI requires more power than most other gpus.

850W power supply is minimum recommended.
