XPS 13 9350, Apple AirPods pro connected, but no sound

I was not able to get the AirPods playing sound besides trying all the following things:

- Fresh Windows 10 reinstallation to 20H2

- Installed all the latest firmware and drivers as suggested by the Dell Support Assist Installer

- Tried the forum suggestion to use the Lenovo driver - no driver found for installation

- I have purchased a USB / Bluetooth dongle - no test results yet 

Any other ideas, suggestions helping me to get this working?
