Dell XPS 15 9570 integrated graphics lag
I have a Dell XPS 15 9570 with i5 8th gen and a 1050. However when i play games the Nvidia Gpu usage and temperature are fairly low an i get frames around 100+ . But after a few minutes i get heavy lags. When i check the taskmanager i see that the intel graphics card spikes to 100% usage even though its most of the time at like 12%. The Nvidia Card is at 20% or so. I've set the Nvidia Card to the preferred card in the nvidia control panel and reinstalled all drivers, but nothing seems to fix the problem. How can it be that while playing a not really demanding game like LoL I have massive framedrops when the internal graphics card shouldnt even be used?

Hi, just a guess...
DELL experienced some weird driver issues (in neraly every XPS I've handled) so far. I think you should go for the official Intel (and of course the nVidia) Drivers and install them directly.
I heard also there were some thermal throttling problems at the 9570 series; did you check it with some kinda program like HWInfo or Intels XTU in the background so you see what part goes crazy when the framerate drops kicking in?
/edit: I read this text twice - did you try to set LOL manually to the nvidia card (not only preferred)?
nvidia control panel -> 3d control settings -> the chart "Programs" -> choose LoL and set the gpu fix to nVidia
Sometimes "preferred" goes crazy, too...
