Dell r940 pcie power connector
I have a short Question.
For which purpose are the two Power connectors on the Mainboard of the dell r940.
Are they used to power pcie devices?
Ive read the documentation but I couldnt find the answer:
On page 129 is a picture of the Mainboard an the description of the Mainboard.

Hi,
If you are referencing connectors 20 and 29. They appear as PCIE_PWR PCIe power connectors.

yes I think you are right. Unfortunately I don't have access to a sourcebook for r940 other than the manual. So I can't access detailed information even if there is. I'm just commenting logically eps connectors mainly used to power motherboard. they indirectly help pcie parts. as far as I know the main power connection for eps processors is not directly with pcie parts. i think therefore you can see pcie pwr connectors on motherboard.
