Windows Installer stürzt ab: BSOD "DRIVER PNP WATCHDOG"

Hallo,

was da genau nicht stimmt, kann ich dir auch nicht beantworten. Aber du kannst ja mal mit F12 die Diagnose drüber laufen lassen (F12 -> Dell Logo) oder vielleicht ein Ubuntu ausprobieren. So richtig ändern wird das zwar nichts, interessant wären diese Ergebnisse aber dennoch.

All das klingt aber auch etwas nach einem Hardwareproblem:

Change SATA Controller Settings in BIOS: BIOS is the main component of your system and if it is having a problem in communicating with a device then OS would also have a problem in communicating with the device. When troubleshooting Driver PNP Watchdog error, checking the BIOS is one of the most important steps. Usually, the SATA controller setting is the culprit and changing it from AHCI to IDE may solve the problem. Ensure your computer is OFF. Press the Power button to power on your computer, and keep pressing the F2key (depending on your computer brand) to enter BIOS. Use the arrow keys to select an option like Advanced or Main, then press Enter to access. Find the option like IDE Configuration, Storage Configuration or Drive Configuration. Then press the Enter IDE Configuration in BIOS Find an option like Configure SATA, SATA Mode or SATA Configuration. Configure SATA as IDE Change that particular option to ATA, IDE or Compatible. Save and exit BIOS. Restart the system and check if the Driver PNP Watchdog error BSOD has been resolved. Solution 2: Check Volume Shadow Copy Service The Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) manages and implements Volume Shadow Copies used for backup and other purposes. If this service isn’t running properly, it can cause problems. To make sure the Volume Shadow Copy service is running properly, follow the steps below: Press the Windows key & R simultaneously to bring out the Run box. Type services.msc and click OK. Services in Run Command Scroll down and double click Volume Shadow Copy. Volume Shadow Copy Service In the Properties Window Make sure that the Startup type is set to the “Automatic”, and the Service status is set on the “Running”. Then click on the “Apply” button & then on the “OK” button to save your changes. Volume Shadow Copy Restart your computer to check if it is clear of the Driver PNP Watchdog error.

Hi, ich habe zwar keinen Dell, aber auch mir hat diese Antwort geholfen!

Letztendlich konnte ich nach dem ausziehen aller Usb Geräte mit der Systemreparatur fortfahren/loslegen. Dabei habe ich die letzten Updates deinstalliert (bis dahin schlug die Deinstallation immer fehl) und konnte den Pc dann wieder starten. Nach dem Start wieder alle Updates gezogen und fertig.

An die Tastatur denkt glaube ich fast niemand!

Und es scheint wohl nicht unbedingt an neuer Hardware zu liegen, meine stammt noch aus dem Jahr 2013, vielleicht ist hier schon das Gegenteil der fall.
