Latitude 7490 + Dock TB16: Hardkey On/Off/Sleep/Wakeup not working for wake-up

PRECONDITION

- Latitude 7490 notebook /w Thunderbird connector, Win11 installed, Dell SupportAssist App installed

- Notebook 7490 connected to dock TB16 via Thunderbird cable/connector

- Power supply 240W connected to Dock TB16.

- Notebook: all available Win11 updates installed, all updates installed found by SupportAssist App.

- Notebook: lid closed

- Win11 setting for Setup/energy: "What to do when lid is closed" - configured to "Do nothing".

- External screen: Dell 3008WFP connected to TB16 via DisplayPort cable, resolution is 2550x1600 @60hz.

- external USB keyboard, external USB mouse connected to TB16.

- all devices connected are recognized and working, 3008WFP is showing Win11 desktop with no issue.

ACTION

- Press HK "On/Off/Sleep/WakeUp" on TB16 and wait. After a few seconds screen turns dark, notebook is terminating windows (not fully clear what happens as lid is closed, could also be running into suspend-to-disc or suspend-to-RAM). Wait until Thunderbird connector indicates no power (LED off).

- Press HK again to wake up notebook and resume work.

OBSERVED BEHAVIOUR

Nothing happens. Thunderbird connector not illuminated (powered) again. Notebook not resuming.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

Hardkey "On/Off/Sleep/WakeUp" is supposed to work in same way as does HK on notebook itself, i.e. after pressing HK on TB16 the Thunderbird connector should be repowered, notebook should be re-enabled and show windows screen, it should be possible to continue work.

ADDITIONAL REMARKS

Issue could be related to BIOS settings. Which BIOS settings in notebook do need to be adusted so that HK on TB16 does switch on notebook again?
