Latitude 5285 keyboard is disabled when in an angled position
Hello,
I have a Dell Latitude 5285 detachable and since today the angle of the keyboard is strangely recognized wrong. That means if I fold the keyboard back and want to use the device as a tablet, the keyboard remains active. What's even worse is that when I lift the keyboard slightly and want to put it in this angled state (so that the top part of the keyboard is magnetically attached to the display) the keyboard and touchpad stop working. Furthermore, "automatic rotation activated" is displayed on the screen. Therefore, I assume that the device no longer recognizes whether the keyboard is bent backwards or forwards or the two directions are reversed.
Hence my question whether this is a hardware problem in the keyboard (at the sensor) or whether this is a software problem? Is there any solution for such a problem or can I turn that feature off somewhere so that the keyboard wont deactivat?
I've already tried reinstalling various sensor and keyboard drivers. Unfortunately, this did not help, but I also do not know which driver is responsible for the position detection of the keyboard.
I would be very happy about an answer or a suggestion for a solution.
Best regards
Paul

Do you figure out how change this behavior?
