DELL E7250 SHUTDOWN

Dear all,

I did not know whether this forum was in english or german so I'll use the more universal language here. We have several Latitude E7250 that keep shutting down randomly during the day. Without overheating, without errors, warnings whatsoever they simply announce they are going to shut down and they do. This keeps frustrating our customer, they have unsaved documents and files and that more than expensive E7250 starts to shut down! We don't have any of these problems with our Latitude E6xxx series. Only the E7250 starts acting up like that.

Anyone know about this or have any solution?

Thanks.

Did you get an answer to this? We have the same issue with a number of our E7250's as well. Thanks.

of course not. This community is completely unresponsive and you won't get any qualified answers from Dell technicians. All they want to know is whether you have updated your BIOS or not and if the internal diagnostics came up with an error message. If this ain't the case then they would actually have to use their brains and most likely they will come up with swapping the mainboard, hoping that the problem resolves itself. Quite a lot of E7250 and E7450 have this problem, Dell must know this but they neither have the manpower nor the interest to investigate this. They simply wait a few months until these models become obsolete and replace them with newer models. This is how the industry works. For Dell this problem is "duly noted", for us it's a big and annoying problem.
