Computer will not stay asleep

Since several days ago, when I put the computer "to sleep" it wakes itself up after several minutes. This is bothersome as I have to leave my desk several times a day and do not want to completely shut-down and restart the computer each time.

Is there any way of determining which program is causing this? (Worked fine for several years before this).

Hello,

please provide a full description of the system you are using. For example Optiplex 780 MT or Latitude E7240.

Usually a system can be woken up by keyboard, mouse or network input. If you are using a desktop system, I would recommend to unplug all these devices to verify if the issue is still present.

If its not caused by these components, you should ask yourself since when this behavior is present and if there was any change to software or hardware (drivers, windows updates, USB devices etc.).

If you haven't got any clue what was changed in the past, the best way would be a clean re installation of the operating system, because everything else would be more time consuming and without any guarantee for success.

Kind regards,

Florian
